It was a very adventursome day.
Shannon and I were going to the flea market in Tazewell, and to get her furniture which she had ordered from a man who sells furniture on the roadside up on Clinch Mountain.
I saw her online and suggested that she come earlier than her estimated time of 10:00ish.
She came at 9:00.
We got there, and it was packed. There were not even parking spaces. I drove around a few times and then suggested we just blow off the flea market and go to one that's got going down the road.
We bought some small purchases.
Then we went to another indoor flea market down in New Tazewell. I bought a lot of things there, but the cigarette smoke and the dampness got to Shannon, so she mostly sat in the truck.
We then went to another roadside one-man flea market, but didn't buy much there.
Then we finally got to the men with the furniture, and her cedar rocker glider is gorgeous.
She's totally delighted with it.
She also bought two small storage chests.
We then came back down to Bean Station and ate lunch at that Mexican restaurant there. It's so good, and it's really clean.
We started back to Rutledge, but stopped at a few yard sales along the road.
We went right through Rutledge to take Shannon's furniture home, as it was already loaded in the truck.
On the way, we stopped at a flea market in Blaine in the old car wash.
While we were there, someone stole my billfold, and got my driver's license, which was in it.
I didn't know that they had got it, and we went on to Shannon's house and put her furniture on her porch for her.
On the way back up 11W, we saw Don, the owner of the flea market, at a car on 11W, and blew the horn at him.
When we got back to my house, I got a phone call asking me if I had been at a flea market today (duh)!
It was Gary Hern, telling me that they had got my billfold, but everything was gone from it but the driver's license.
I thought that all my credit cards wer in it, so I called Steve to tell him to cancel them.
I later found all the credit cards in my checkbook, which was not taken.
I'll get my driver's license and billfold from Don tomorrow, I guess.
Shannon did my hair for me, then we sat and talk a while, then she went home.
I'm really tired, and hope I sleep well.
My back hurts.
