I had my surgery yesterday.  It seemed forever before they took me back to the OR, but it was over in just a few minutes.  Dr. Crawford is a favorite with most of the nursing staff, and I can see why. He has a good sense of humor, does good surgical work, and makes an effort to get along with everyone.
All of the staff at Morristown General seem to be jovial and enjoy jokes.
I just suddenly woke up in recovery, and Marsha Morgan was working on a patient right beside my bed.  She is a local lady who is a nurse there, and I had wanted her for my recovery room nurse.  She told me that the nurse I had was totally capable of taking good care of me, so I had to be content with just watching Marsha from a slight distance.
I'm having some pain, but it's more like soreness.  Barbara called last night to say that she had cooked us some food, and we could come and get it anytime.
We'll eat good.
I had a long list of people to call to tell them I was OK after surgery,  Several people in the community here wanted to know the outcome.
Lynn cried on the phone when we talked.  She was so relieved to know that I was OK.
Tim Ivey, the man who is living in Creekside, admonished me to take it easy, and promised that he would take good care of everything there.
I slept like a log last night, though I had to get up for the bathroom a couple of times.  I think it might have been the combination of the pain meds and my Ambien.
I plan to go up to Creekside with Steve in a few minutes.  He's going, and I don't want to miss all that's happening there.  I'll have to take it easy, which I don't like, but I just HAVE to go.
Lynn says that Aunt Kitty wants to follow my blog, and she's very welcome.
I need her prayers and support.
More later.
