I haven't posted in several days, because the web site was messed up, and they wanted a password, which I didn't have. Steve set up this log, so I don't even try to remember things like that. He just called to give it to me, so now I'm catching up.
Sunday was a horrid, bleak day. I stayed home, because I didn't have a driver's license.
I did little all day.
I couldn't sleep Sunday night, as I'm out of Ambien.
I tossed and turned all night, and crawled all over the bed, trying to find a comfortable spot. There wasn't one. I was not one of those fortunate people who slept on air.
Monday was not pleasant, as it rained all day. We needed the rain, but I didn't need a dreary day.
My mood was NOT good, but we muddle through, don't we?
When Ronnie called to ask about work, I asked him if Amy might be available to take me to Dandridge to get a new driver's licence. I almost never get stopped by the police, but I figured, with my luck, it would happed on that very day.
We left here in the white truck, and stopped over on 92 and Heim Road to empty some bags of garbage at the dumpsters.
Then, while going through Jefferson City, Amy got stopped by the police. I couldn't believe it!
She was a wreck when he took her license and went back to his cruiser. He was goint to write her a ticket for '2 rolling stops'.
When he came back to the truck, I talked to him a few minutes, telling him that it was my vehicle, and that I would be personally very grateful if he would give her a break, because she was doing a favor for a neighbor, and was having a hard time financially (both true), so he made the ticket a warning. She couldn't believe I did it.
We then went on to Dandridge and got my new license. I don't know who that old, wrinkled lady was who got in front of the camera, but they would only make one photo attempt, and we went with that one.
We stopped at a jewelry store to get some batteries put in some watches I had with me, and we had to leave them. So, we went to the Goodwill for a while.
We then returned to the jewelry store, just to be told that the jeweler had let one of the watches 'explode' it's parts all over the place, so we'd just have to come back another day to get that watch. Oh, well.
We then stopped at Perkins to have some lunch. Afterwards, we came back to Jefferson City and stopped at the Goodwill there. I didn't buy much there, but did get a lovely white down comforter.
Then back to Rutledge. Ronnie was nowhere to be found, so I gave Amy a ride home, then came back home, myself.
I was changing clothes to get ready to go outside to work, when Barbara called to ask me if she could get me to give her a ride to the election commission. I told her OK, as I needed to get a new voter's registration card. I took her a bag of things I had bought for her. We drove to the election commission, and I got my new voter's card..
I then went down to the Rutledge Goodwill. They were all glad to see me, except for Angie, who walked right past me without saying a word.
Barbara (a volunteer at Goodwill) asked me to join her for supper at the Down Home, so I did. It was her birthday.
I then came home, tired as a whooped puppy.
I didn't even unload all my booty out of the truck, just a few things. It was still raining.
I took a bath, and took night time meds.
They upset my stomach. I didn't sleep hardly any last night, so this morning I just got up at 4:00, and started painting in the livingroom on some craft projects.
It's still pretty overcast, but clearing some. The ground is wet...really wet, but I'm going to have to do some outdoor work soon.
I need to go to the Family Dollar for some provisions.
I'll write tonight.
