I didn't post this AM, as my computer was giving some problems, and I had to wait until Steve got up to fix it.
We went to Lowe's to do some shopping. Steve is going mad over their new chasing LED lights, but we won't spend the money to buy them. They're just too high.
He took me to the Goodwill in Morristown, and I got some good deals on toys and such, it being the last week-end of the month. We then ate at Golden Corral, which they're remodeled. Steve got sick from the food, and I got a little quezy on my stomach later. We then came back to Jefferson City, and I went to the Goodwill there. I didn't get much there. We also stopped at the Lowe's there, so I could shop for mis-mixed paints. They didn't have any.
We had stopped at the 'Clock Shop' in Jefferson City, and I got 5 new snow houses. I got one at the Jefferson City Goodwill, too, but it is white, and I'll have to paint it.
Lynn was having a terrible day today. She could hardly talk, and said she was laying on her bed trying to get dressed in spurts. I had told her yesterday to expect this.
It's awful when you have to suffer for having a good time with your family.
An old friend, Faune Gerber, from Smyrna, called me last night. Steve knew I would like to hear from her, so he came running across the back yard with the phone to the Hut. It was cold and raining, and he was in his sock feet, but he knows how I still love Faune. She had worked for the VA in Nashville many years ago, and helped us get our mortgage on this place when we bought it.
She hand carried the papers through the agency, and our realtor told us it was the fastest VA loan he's ever seen approved. We've never forgotten her kindness.
More about today in tomorrow's post.
